You’ll need an official Factory License issued by the Department of Industrial Works (DIW), Ministry of Industry.
This license is required for all manufacturing businesses that have machinery exceeding 50 horsepower or employ more than seven workers.

Factories in Thailand are classified into three types (Type 1, 2, and 3). Only Type 2 and Type 3 require official licensing.
